Running in the wind!

Each day seems to be a different challenge of weather. After running Sunday in the wind and the very freezing weather. Tuesday brought us very strong winds. The kind that if you resisted you would blow away. The last stretch we were running right into the wind. I felt everything working which means everything was feeling the burn. I thought for sure after that run I would hurt. Thank God I haven't been in any pain since I started. I think that is a miracle itself because I'm no spring chicken. I have to share the glory with Kim though. She does make sure I'm warmed up and stretched out after each run. But.....Kim had another type of weather for me to try out Thursday. It was RAIN!! She called and asked if I wanted to run? WHAT!! Ok that I is one I won't do. Ewww drippy rain. So I said No way. I drove to my mom's to pick up the treadmill in the pouring rain. Tarped it to death to make it through the flooding rain. Of course Kim was not taking no for the answer of the day. She came over around 5. She brought gifts. A ball, jump rope and pedometer. Started the treadmill got about 1/2 mile on it. I felt like I did the whole three miles. It stopped working because who knew it needed batteries. That is where the ugly green ball came in. I don't remember signing up for a workout? But Kim being the drill Sargent she is had me sweating, burning and hurting. I think I even blurted out "I hate you". Well not that it came from my heart it came from my fleshly achy breaky body. I can't even begin to tell you what that ball can do to your body. I once thought they were fun to sit on or catch. Not anymore I'm ready to take a needle to everyone of them. So about that not ever feeling pain. Well I'm tight this morning. Shew wee my legs are tight!!! She is a great trainer and if anyone ever needs encouragement and a real go getter let me know. I got her number!! She really makes it fun! She makes you feel like you can do anything and very good at pushing you to make the goals. Our next day to run will be Saturday if I can lift my legs? OUCH!!!
